What the service was

A residential proxy service that U.S. court and Justice Department records describe as selling access to IP addresses associated with malware-compromised residential Windows computers.

What happened

911 S5 ceased operations in July 2022. Reporting on the service's own July 28 notice said it permanently shut down after a breach and loss of data. In May 2024, a Justice Department-led operation seized domains and servers tied to the historical service and an attempted reconstitution.

The May 2024 law-enforcement action concerned historical 911 S5 infrastructure and efforts to reconstitute it; it should not be presented as the cause of the original July 2022 shutdown.

What this means for existing customers

ProxySP does not treat 911 S5 as an active provider. Public sources establish that the service ceased operations, but they do not establish a current account-recovery or refund channel.
